Home Kegerator for Nitro Cold Brew
At this point, your home office might just be your office-office. Cold brew has been a key ingredient to the company Tiny House has become, but Covid-19 forced us to reexamine our business. We’ve focused on finding new ways to do what we do best, which includes serving delicious nitro cold brew on tap.
With that in mind, we bring you our new home kegerator program. Now, you can have a five-gallon tank of nitro cold brew coffee on tap, just steps away from wherever your day begins. If you like cold brew, or find yourself swinging through your local Moby Dick-inspired coffee chain spending $10/day, this is a no brainer. For only ~$1.25 per drink, a freshly roasted, nitro-infused iced coffee is all yours. 😍😍
Our goal is to make setting up a home kegerator as easy as possible. We have complete kegerator kits for sale or rent, and can have you setup in a flash. Before getting started, here are a few need-to-know essentials:
Kegerator
You will need a small refrigerator setup to dispense the cold brew. We recommend the Edgestar kegerators as they have proven reliable overtime and come with an approachable price tag. If you wanta second tap (beer? kombucha?), we recommend the KC3000. Or if you prefer a smaller-footprint, single-tap option, we like the KC1000.
The Faucet
The faucet for nitro cold brew is a little different than those for beer or kombucha, they more closely resemble Guinness faucets for stouts. The function of this faucet is to stop a fast flowing stream of nitro cold brew, and help create the foam and cascade in the cup that gives its creamy, smooth flavor.
The Gas
Nitro coffee runs off of nitrogen gas. While CO2 works for beer, it’s bad for coffee. At Tiny House, we provide the nitrogen gas. If you need CO2 for a second tap, we can help with that, too.
