Aricha - Grade 1

$14.00

Aricha Municipality. Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia

Grade 1 is the highest sorting standard in Ethiopia. Usually defined by the size of coffee, number of defects in a  samples (0 to 1 allowable), good moisture content, and of course cup quality!

This coffee is a collective effort of over 600 small farmers. All working together in Yirgacheffe, and contributing to help each other improve each year.

This fully washed coffee is a blend of heirloom varietals growing naturally. It is a very adventurous coffee. If you love fruity notes in coffee, you've arrived. Juicy Stone fruit, and melon along with a creamy texture.

It kind of tastes like...

Apricot

Lemon

Creamy

San Fernando, Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua

While serving in the Peace Corp, Tiny House founders Helen and Blake met the owners of these farms who quickly became our friends and eventually the inspiration for starting this whole coffee thing.

In 2019,  we were able to get the farms $65,000 more than market value thanks to negotiated prices and this unique co-op style of processing.

Learn how we did it here. We also made a killer shirt to celebrate!

Yellow Catuai, Fully Washed, Patio Dried

If we wanted to talk slightly longer we would do so down here. Maybe needs a different tag class for the sub header thing above.

Nougat, Maple Syrup, Hazelnut

A very balanced and approachable coffee that plays well as hot or cold. In fact, this is the very same blend we use in our La Casita Cold Brew.
