Kerinci Valley

$15.00
Gunung Kerinci, West Sumatra, Indonesia

The Kerinci Valley is like the donuts hole center of the Seblat National Park: Surrounded in every direct, and arguably the best part!

More than 300,000 people live in this fertile highland valley. Almost the
entire population of the valley relies on agriculture for their family income.

This lot is made from cherries from 600 small producers. Our partners at Santiang Exports are working to provide conservation solutions to small farmers. The producers they work with are trained in sustainable practices, provided quality seedlings, and commit to not grow their coffee within the National Park, verified by on-site visits.

Andung Sari Tim-Tim, P88, Honey Process, Dried on Raised Bed (Greenhouse)

By working together, and treating all the coffee as one, Tiny House is able to collect cherries from individual farmers and process the cherries together to ensure better quality and consistency.

Because of its unique weather, and location on the globe this coffee experiences two harvest during the year! Tiny House works to pull from both harvest, providing consistent support to the farmers, and consistently fresh coffee to our customers!

Peach, Red Wine, Chocolate

The hard work of the processing team really shows in this coffee. It is very clean and not earthy which Sumatra is so notorious for. Notes of red fruit with medium acidity and astringency make for a more tart red berry taste in the cup.
